Casper RET Program
CASPER's Summer Research Experiences for Teachers Program offers elementary school, middle school and high school teachers the opportunity for active research participation with CASPER faculty. This summer program will begin around the first of June and end around the middle of August. (The starting and ending dates are flexible and may be adjusted to fit ISD schedules.)
Potential Research Areas
RET Fellows are encouraged to tailor their summer research activities depending on their interests. RET Fellows will meet with REU Fellows on a weekly basis, immersing them in current, cutting edge research topics. Fellows will also be involved as part of CASPER's outreach team, providing them with information on CASPER's Physics Circus, Drop Tower, NASA Exhibits and Inservice outreach efforts. Additional opportunities for RET Fellows to continue to interact with CASPER (either in person or via distance learning capability) during the fall and spring semesters are also available.
For those RET Fellows that so desire, they can become involved in any of the research areas available to the NSF REU Fellows. Current research opportunities are available within any many of the research areas listed for the Center but are dependent on faculty availability.
Brief descriptions of the currently scheduled research areas available for the summer of can be found at CASPER Fellows Research Areas page.
