Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC)
The Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC) is home to faculty and graduate students in Baylor’s School of Engineering and Computer Science as well as numerous interdisciplinary centers and institutes. It contains over 300,000 square feet of research and collaboration space including meeting and symposium facilities for University and community events.
Computational Facilities
CASPER researchers running numerical simulations will utilize the computing capabilities and full-time computing support available at Baylor University, including a Cray CS400-AC with 64 compute nodes, two Intel Knights Landing (KNL) nodes, and two Nvidia P100 GPU nodes, each configured with two GPUs.
Experimental Facilities
The CASPER lab (the Hypervelocity Impacts & Dusty Plasmas Lab - HIDPL) in which the proposed experiments will be conducted is a 9000 square foot lab constructed in 2012 specifically for complex plasmas / nanofabrication research and located within the 330,000 square foot Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC).
